Registered Manufacturers ("M1", must do all 12 rallies) and Manufacturer Teams ("M2", must do 8 of 12)
CITROEN TOTAL WRT – numbers 1 and 2: Loeb and Sordo planned for all events and there is no major spec changes to the cars.
BP-FORD ABU DHABI WRT numbers 3 and 4: Hirvonen and Latvala planned for all events. Khalid Al Qassimi does nine events (Ireland, Cyprus, Portugal, Italy, Poland, Finland, Australia, Spain, Wales GB) only. Two new cars for the start of the season but no technical changes.
STOBART VK M-SPORT FORD RT – numbers 5 and 6: no fixed drivers and will use 2008 spec cars. Wilson (all rallies are planned), Henning Solberg (all rallies), Aava (plans to do eight rallies = all except Cyprus, Argentina, Greece, Australia, but nothing yet signed), Duval (nothing definite).
CITROEN JUNIOR TEAM numbers 7 and 8 no fixed drivers but selected from Rautenbach (full programme is planned), Novikov (N, CY, P, I, GR, PL, E, GB) and Atkinson (certainly Ireland, then under discussion). 2008 spec cars
Petter Solberg – will drive a Citroen Xsara WRC in Ireland and will take a decision regarding the future after. Meanwhile he is testing for the Le Mans 24 hours with Oreca Team.
Sebastien Ogier to be entered by CJT but independently of registration. Plan is to do first six WRC events, see how he goes and what money there is to run the car for more rallies. Lately Citroen made announced that it will support Ogier for 4 more events.
Mads Ostberg entered by Adapta (family company). Plan is to run two cars on eight events (N, P, I, GR, PL, FIN, E, GB), each time with a locally important driver in the second car. Already they have one S14 and assuming Grondal is their second driver in Norway, they will also buy one of the five remaining unsold S14s. No existing plans to register at FIA but still a small possibility.
Federico Villagra (who again became Argentine champion after the end of the 2008 WRC season) is planning to enter eight events (starting at Cyprus, but no decision yet which two will be omitted) but there is no final decision whether Munchi's will again register for the WRC (as an "M2" team).
Van Merksteijn's team website say they would enter seven events (N, P, I, PL., FIN, E and GB).
