The first test this year is scheduled Sunday, February 24th in Alba, on the way between Hapria and Straja.
For Alex Filip season 2008 starts at this end of the week when he will test for the first time his Citroen C2 R2 model with tarmac set-up. „ I will start my training a little earlier when I will test , on the circuit near Paris, the Citroen C2 R2 Max model. Immediately after this test I will leave for Alba Iulia for the first shakedown with the car I'm going to compete in 2008”, said Alex Filip.
The test is scheduled on Sunday, February 24th, around 12:00 AM, on the national way between Hapria and Straja districts in Alba county and it will take around 4 hours. The location was chosen because of the track which is very similar to that of Brasov Rally – the first stage of the RRC 2008.
„Team Pro Motor Ramnicu Valcea will be present at the test and I can only hope we can find together the best set-up for Brasov stage. We don't have too much time left before the start of the season and I want to start this competition year in force. ”, stated Alex Filip.
At his first shakedown in 2008, Alex Filip will be assisted by Claudiu David, the only Romanian pilot taking part last year in the WRC. „I would like to thank all local authorities who responded positevely to our request of closing the road between Hapria and Straja during this test. Depending on my results here, I will schedule my next tests with the Citroen C2 R2 model”, added Alex Filip.
