Conrad's Voyage into the Unknown
Citroen Junior team driver Conrad Rautenbach is to drive a Peugeot for the first time when he contests the IRC championship Sata Rallye Acores in the mid-Atlantic. "It will also be the first time I have driven a Super 2000 car. This will be a great opportunity for me to start finding out about the sort of cars which we will have to drive in the future". The car will be run by the PH Sport company with whom Conrad has had a long and successful partnership since his Junior world championship Super 1600 days. PH Sport manager Bernard Piallat commented: "it will also be the first time we have run a Super 2000 or a Peugeot for that matter. Azores is going to be a great journey of discovery for us as well!"

Next IRC rally
Entries for the Sata Rallye Acores (7-9 May) to be run in the mid Atlantic island of San Miguel, fourth round of the IRC. have been announced. In addition to regular entries from Portuguese championship competitors, there are entries from the regular Skoda, Abarth and the Team Belux and UK Peugeot teams. The main news is that VW is coming back with the Polo Super 2000 prepared by Rene Georges Team. 12 of the 49 entries are Super 2000 cars.

No Japan round in IRC
The organisers of the Japanese round of the IRC have announced that the event planned for October will not now take place. They had been hoping to integrate the IRC round with the Hokkaido APRC Rally in mid July but sources state that is not likely to be acceptable to the IRC promoters.
