After the 8 points won in Sibiu Pirelli Rally, crew Alex Filip/Gicu Nemes wants to finish the 6th stage of the season on the podium. Key words: „maximum attack!”
Tara Barsei Rally, scheduled between August 29th – 31st represents the next challenge for crew Alex Filip/Gicu Nemes. The 6th stage of the Romanian Rally Championship has a length of 379,2 kilometers from which 143,4 km divided in 8 special stages. „This is the type of stage we start very motivated in, especially after the good result in Sibiu. I want to obtain as many points as possible in this stage. The track is most of it new and the surface of the special stages is very good. I am sure the Citroen-ul C2 R2 will behave just fine here”, said Alex Filip.
Tara Barsei Rally will start on Friday, July 29th, at 05:00 PM with a rally show on the arena of Sports High School in Brasov, the stage will not count in the ranking of the stage. „This stage does not influence the ranking of the rally, but this doesn't mean we won't do some show there. This kind of event is always welcomed and I am sure there will be a lot of spectators just like for the previous stage organized in Brasov”, added Alex Filip.
The 8 special stages counting in the hierarchy of the competition are scheduled in Covasna, Brasov and Prahova districts. „A good dictation can make the difference in this rally. There are a lot of areas where you can push the pedal to the maximum. On the special stages in Covasna there's no danger of flat tires. The surface is amazing and accompanied by a good dictation one can be really fast. We will concentrate on it during the recce and I am sure we will find the best solutions.”, stated Gicu Nemes, the copilot of crew 79.
For Alex Filip the key words in Tara Barsei Rally are: „maximum attack”. „I like the format of the rally 
very much. It's not a “stalking”stage where you should take care and watch your competitors. You have to be fast even from the beginning. I hope I'll find my rhythm very quickly and in the end to gather as many points as possible in group A”, added Alex Filip.
