Confirmed in Argentina is that the Munchi's World Rally Team are to contest the world championship with an eight- rally programme in 2009, while it is presumed that Stobart will also again register for the WRC. The Munchi's programme was announced by Federico Villagra after he won the Argentine rally championship for the sixth time. In 2008 the Munchi's team contested the regulatory ten rounds for a Manufacturers' Team (M2) scoring WRC points on eighth occasions, and twice Villagra scored a top six finishing position. Veteran 39 year old Villagra is
expected to be the oldest regular driver in the WRC in 2009, but he did not start his rally career until 1994 when he was 25 years old.
