The violin and the Rally have a lot of things in common
Alex Filip and his team continues the series of unconvetional events. This time, a young classical music talent sat in the right seat of the Citroen C2R2
Orange Romania, the main partner of crew Filip/Nemes, is also the organizer of the competition‚ “Orange Prizes for young musicians”, found at its 3rd edition this year. The winner for the violin section of the last year's edition, a very talented young man, launched as an artist with the support of Orange Romania is now playing on big scenes in the country and all over the world.
“The violin, classical music in general, and the rally have a lot of elements in common. In both domains every detail is extremely important, no matter how insignificant it may seem at first sight. We use the dictation in the rally, but the copilot doesn't tell us how hard we should push the pedal or steer the wheel. The same thing happens with the violinist playing after its score and nobody specifies him how he should press the strings or have the angle of the bow. And the example list can go on. I am very pleased to have Stefan on my right and to have this experience exchange”, said Alex at the end of the event organized on Moday, August 11th, in Sinaia.
All these happened on the background of the International Festival “Enescu and the music of the world” taking place in Sinaia, Busteni, Predeal and Brasov, Orange Romania being the main sponsor of the event. This festival together with all its concerts represents a good occasion of “training” for the young artists of the Youth National Orchestra conducted by Master Cristian Mandeal.
“Just like in music, I've noticed that in rally you have to put a lot of effort and passion. Nothing is done carelessly, the care for detail is essential, and “the orchestra” has a major role. The conductor as well, who in Alex's case is Gicu Nemes, his copilot. I hope to repeat these feelings in the next future, on Alex's right. Now I see driving differently, moreover when I have to pass my driving license exam this week’, said Stefan Besan when getting down of the competition car.
The finals of “Orange Prizes for young musicians”, 2008 edition will take place between October 13th -15th in Odeon Theatre Bucharest, the next stage of the Romanian Rally Championship is scheduled on August 29th-31st in Brasov.
In 2008, crew 79 Alex Filip/Gicu Nemes is counting on the support of sponsors: Orange Romania, Pneumaxx by Cefin, Pirelli and Famiro – Orange partner and technical partners: Yato, Sony Xplod, ProMotor Team Rm. Valcea, Avantgarde, Colina Motors, Citroën Romania and Motors TV.
