All three Citroen C4 WRC cars which finished Repco Rally Australia have been penalised one minute, meaning that Mikko Hirvonen now wins the event with Loeb second, Sordo remains third while Latvala rises to fourth and Ogier drops to fifth. The offence was the fitment of a non-homologated link to the front suspension anti roll bar. The officials examined the car of Loeb, but Citroen team chiefs conceded to the organisers that all three cars had identical parts. The car of Conrad Rautenbach was withdrawn for other reasons before arriving at the finish of the rally. Hirvonen has now increased his championship lead over Loeb to five points.
