Alex Filip presented his car and sponsors during „Citroën Girls Driving Experience”. Women journalists from the most famous women magazines in Romania were present at the event.

Alex Filip will attack 2008 season of the Romanian Rally Championship with a Citroën C2 R2, in group A. The official presentation of the new design of the car and of the sponsors took place in Sibiu, during „Citroën Girls Driving Experience”. „This year I wanted to make an official presentation of the team and I chose this event to do it. Journalists of the most important women magazines in Romania tested the Citroën C1, C2 and C3 models and, they also had the opportunity to be a copilot in the Citroën C2 R2, the car I am competing with in the Romanian Rally Championship in Group A”, said Alex Filip, after the official presentation.

Besides the journalists from the most important Romanian women magazines, Sorana Serban (ex-A.S.I.A. singer) joined Alex Filip as a copilot, she was the special guest of the „Citroën Girls Driving Experience” event. „It was an incredible experience. I never thought it can feel so nice to be in a rally car. I loved it so much that I will do everything possible this year to be present in a stage and see Alex Filip racing on the special stages”, said Sorana, immediately after getting down of the Citroën C2 R2.

This year, just like the previous ones, crew Alex Filip/Gicu Nemes will be supported by elite sponsors, making their job easier so that they can offer us a season full of special moments: Orange Romania, Pneumaxx by Cefin & Pirelli and Famiro – Orange partner and technical partners - Yato, Xplod, ProMotor Team Rm. Valcea, Avantgarde, Colina Motors and Citroën Romania. „The car is the same car we competed with last year starting with Sibiu Rally 2007. The design is a new one and it highlights the sponsors and partners supporting us in 2008. This year's objective is to win the Group A title”, added Alex Filip.

Tess Rally, the first stage of the 2008 Romanian Rally Championship is scheduled between March 7th – 8th in Brasov. „It is a tarmac rally, having some modifications regarding special stages, as compared with last year stages. I made a lot of tarmac tests in the last few weeks and I think I am ready for this season's start. My biggest wish is to start this year's stage with a place on the podium in Group A”, added Alex Filip.
