Dan Gartofan, the en-titre national champion has participated yesterday, 17 February at the Rally Sprint from Romexpo as a special guest, having well-known co-drivers: George Vintila, Zoli from the band Sistem and Brad Vee Johnson, ex Boney M.
Before the start, Giri talked with the prime-minister, Calin Popescu Tariceanu, about their common passion - rallying.
After returning from his first race, Brad Vee Johnson said:
"When the people from Prista Oil have invited me to this rallysprint I was a little skeptic because it seemed too dangerous. Later I came to understand that there are people who can control these cars. After the first two corners I was terrified, but then I said: it's fantastic, let's do it again. I was scared, but the thought that at the wheel is a pro who knowns what he's doing relaxed me and I could enjoy the experience."

Our guests took the role of the co-driver seriously: George Vintila has read to Giri the pacenotes made by Adrian Berghea, trying to replace him as good as possible.
"At the half of the first lap I lost track of the pacenotes and I was trying to figure out where we are. It's very difficult. At the second one, however, I did much better and the time was also better." Zoli from Sistem was also delighted with the experience:
"I wasn't a fan of motorsports before my first experience, but later I haven't missed any chance. I'm glad because Giri and Prista Oil invited me, I think that something like this is needed in Bucharest."
Giri's partener, Prista Oil was present this time also. The passion for rallyes and the team spirit helped the people of the company fight the cold weather and they have supported Dan Gartofan and his co-drivers until the end of the competition.
On the 7-8 of March, at Brasov will take place the first round of the Romanian Rally Championship, where Dan Gartofan and Adrian Berghea are entering the official competition.
