Pilots in holiday, sending their registration applications
E
ven though most of the pilots are in holiday, we have still received 53 applications for the rally, some of them even sent from the beach, declared Bela Stoica, the manager of the organizing club. This would be the approximate number of applications that we expected to receive, though there are pilots as Mihai Leu, Edwin Keleti, Eugen Badina that are still in holiday and many more pilots that are participating at Cupa Dacia; anyway, we can accommodate 80 participants, and we are still waiting for them to come – concluded the manager.
The Adams’ by Secuiana Awards at Brasov Rally Show Second Edition
The well-known Secuiana firm from Covasna has gladly accepted to offer awards to those who will take part into the competition from the Ion Tiriac Arena circuit (Sports High School, Brasov). The second edition of the Brasov Rally Show will take place on Friday, August 29th, from 5 PM. The show will start with the beginners’ competition followed by the pilots from the H, A and N in the reverse order of the general <<open>> top after 5 phases.
Orange, of course
The traditional Auto Blic & Autorally partner has joined once again the team that organizes the Tara Barsei Seat – Mobil 1 Rally event. We would like to thank Orange for their support and we are glad that a such well-known brand like them has decided to associate their image with our event and our partners - Seat, Mobil 1 and Dunlop – said Bela Stoica.
The Rally Roads – brought to a national road quality level
The Brasov part of the Tara Barsei SEAT-MOBIL 1 Rally will take place on Sunday, 31st August on the <<road to Rentea>>, very familiar to the motor sports fans. The enhancements made on the road through the forest owned by the Regia Publica Locala from Sacele (12km) have started right when the event management team was <<drawing>> the fist drafts of the rally map. Our concerns regarding the status of this road through the wood were doubled. On one hand we did not know for sure if the work will be finished on time; on the other hand, when seeing the first part of the new road, we were not so sure it can be used for our rally purposes. I was thinking that we can not include this zone into the rally event unless the trucks will lower down the road. Fortunately both our problems were fixed and we received 10 days before the starting day a positive answer for using the road, concluded Bela Stoica.
I hope the pilots to be satisfied by our work and to return gladly to Sacele, said Sorin Hermenean, the manager of the Regia Publica Locala, pleased to see the work completed.
The first Tara Brasei SEAT –MOBIL1 Rally press conference will take place on Wednesday, August 27th 2008 from 7 PM at the Press Room from Magnolia Shopping Center, the rally host.
We would like to remind to all the press members that the dead-line for sending the registration and the accreditation papers for the Tara Brasei SEAT –MOBIL 1 Rally is on Monday, August 25th, 2008.
