Sebastien Ogier came to Monte Carlo at the wheel of a Peugeot 207 Super 2000, his third different type of car in a many events, invited by BF Goodrich to be their celebrity driver on the French-based event. In Wales Rally GB he drove a Citroen C4 World Rally Car and led the rally, previously he had driven a Citroen C2 S1600 and clinched the junior world championship in Corsica. "For sure", the new Sebastien explained, "it was a good way of getting a lot of experience in short time. For every type of car you need to adapt yourself. The Super 2000 is easy to drive but it took me time to get used to it, to understand how to get the best out of it. After a day or so it started to be OK". At the end of the first day he had risen from fifth up to third. On the first stage of day 2 he was third, two stages later he was second and in the final stage of day two he was leading. "The Super 2000 is like a big Super 1600, with a more powerful engine and more stability, and of course because of four wheel drive it has better traction. I find that you can have some problem with understeering on long corners and also when it is slippery, but basically it is good". And a World Rally Car is something else. "Certainly you miss the turbocharger on the Super 2000 and you miss the controllable central differential. I think the understeering tendency of the S2000 is due to the central differential. The WRC is the most easy car to drive out of all the three, but it is also very fast, so it becomes different simply because it is such a fast car".
