Nobody at Subaru World Rally Team would give any hint in Sardinia whether or nor the Impreza N14 would make its world championship debut on the following world championship round, the Acropolis Rally on 29 May to 1 June. They would only suggest that an announcement was imminent. If the Acropolis deadline is missed, the next world rally the car could enter is the Rally Turkey on 13-15 June. This however is unlikely. FIA rules stipulate that the same car and engine must be used in Greece and Turkey, leaving the following opportunity for the debut as the Neste Oil Rally of Finland (31 July to 3 August). FIA officials have confirmed that the car was ready to be homologated on 1st June, a system that permits the car to start rallying at the tail end of May in Greece if requested. Entries for the Acropolis have been made naming "Subaru Impreza WRC 07" cars, but because a group or class would remain unchanged, that gives no clue.
